This is the Facet pump 40178, which
is not widely available outside the USA. It's more
expensive than the more common 40151, but it's features
make it worth it. Maximum fuel delivery 15 gallons per hour (57 liters per hour) at free-flow. Maximum pressure 2 to 3.5 psi (138 to 241 mbar). Typical flow 9 gph at 1.5 psi (34 lph at 103 mbar). 1/8 NPT female ports. It also features a check valve and a positive shut-off valve, which the 40151 doesn't have, meaning that you don't need to shut off the petcock when you park the bike. The pump will not will not flood or overflow your carburetors. Facet fuel pumps have low power requirements (about 1 amp at 12 volts) and operate without troublesome seals or diaphragms. Facet pumps are compatible with gasoline-alcohol blends (up to and including E85). No modifications are needed on the bike and the OEM fuel hoses can be used without shortening. |
